24 X 7 Hindu Help Line Launched in Pune with grand performances by Sharad Ponkshe & Dr Pravin Togadia

In a grand programme at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir, Pune, 24 X 7 Hindu Help Line was launch jointly by the noted theatre & movie artist Shri Sharad Ponkshe & renowned Cancer Surgeon & VHP International Secretary General Dr Pravin Togadia. In an innovative launch a call centre set up was made & both Sharad Ponkshe & Dr Pravin Togadia played the roles of a caller & the Hindu Help Line (HHL) Volunteer respectively!

 Launching Hindu Help Line, Dr Pravin Togadia said, “While on travel or even otherwise, we all wish that there should be someone reliable around to help. Sometimes there is a sudden natural calamity or a personal health problem or an accident. In such emergencies, Hindu Help Line will play the role of a Reliable Friend of Hindus.

All one needs to do is to call 020-66803300 ,  075886 82181  &  Hindu Help Line (HHL) call centre will hear the caller out, pass on the immediate message to the HHL volunteer at the location where the caller has a problem & the local HHL volunteer will help the caller immediately. Sometimes there is no problem but it feels nice & safe if someone reliable is there while on shopping or site seeing on a holiday. HHL will also try to reply queries regarding daily important things related to Hindu Dharm like muhurt or some curiosities as much possible. All over Bharat around 25000 HHL volunteers & around 25000 service providers are expected to be associated with Hindu Help Line for helping Hindus.”

India launches helpline number for Ebola


The Indian government is maintaining intensive surveillance to prevent the spread of the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the country. 

With as many as 1,779 Ebola cases being detected until now, of which 961 patients lost their lives, countries the world over have swung into action by setting in place preventive measures, such as screening and isolation.
The Indian government is maintaining intensive surveillance to prevent the spread of the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the country. A control room with helpline numbers 23063205, 23061469 and 23061302 has been made operational.


The government has already implemented the following steps:

1. Tracking of passengers arriving from the affected countries by the Airport Health Organizations based on the information provided by Ministry of External Affairs.

2. Tracking and monitoring health of passengers, who travelled from the affected countries, in their respective states, by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme.

3. Designation of Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi for management of cases in Delhi. The hospital has earmarked treatment facilities and a nodal officer.

4. The government has advised Indians against non-essential travel to the four West African countries – Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria – which form the epicenter of EVD.

Smartphones and the popular chat messenger - WhatsApp - in it has now turned into an effective weapon against errant policemen with Delhi Police launching a new anti-corruption helpline where one can send audio or video clips if any cop seeks bribe or harasses a person.

The new helpline number, 9910641064, has been started on August 6 where one can not only just call and register your complaint but also send a recorded audio or video clip if any police man harasses a person or demands bribe.

The Whatsapp helpline is in addition to the existing helpline numbers -- 1064 and 1800111064 -- which at present has four lines attended by at least 20 constables and head constables who work round the clock under the guidance of an inspector.
